PRO services in Dubai cover the dealings a company has with government departments: renewing the licence, sponsoring staff and family, keeping the establishment card valid and getting documents approved. A monthly retainer puts an Octavon PRO on that work for you, so you don't have to hire, train and sponsor your own.
The authorities you deal with depend on where you're licensed. A mainland company renews its licence with the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) through the Invest in Dubai platform, and needs a valid Ejari tenancy to do it. Its residence visas and establishment card go through GDRFA Dubai, directly or at Amer centres; work permits and employment contracts go through MOHRE; Emirates ID is issued by ICP. For new mainland hires, the Work Bundle on Invest in Dubai combines the work permit and residence steps in one application. A free zone company handles most of this through its zone's portal, such as the DMCC Member Portal or Dubai Trade for JAFZA, and its staff aren't registered with MOHRE.
Under a corporate PRO retainer we renew the trade licence and the establishment card, process employment visas from entry permit to Emirates ID, renew and cancel visas, and keep the owners' investor visa files current. We also prepare licence amendments when partners, activities or managers change, arrange attestation and notarisation, and handle the paperwork when you close the company.
Family visas are a common reason people look for a PRO. If you or your staff want to sponsor a spouse, children or parents, we prepare and file the application with GDRFA Dubai and book the medical test and biometrics. We control how quickly a complete application is submitted; GDRFA, MOHRE, ICP and DET control how quickly it's approved. Medical tests and biometrics need the person to attend, and appointment availability varies. Government fees, medical tests, health insurance, translations and attestation abroad are paid separately, at cost.
A retainer usually suits companies with several visas on file, regular hiring or dependants to manage. If you have a single investor visa and renew once a year, paying per transaction may cost less, and we'll tell you so. The retainer fee depends on the number of visas on your file, how many transactions you expect each month, mainland or free zone, and how much document collection you need. How long do visa and licence transactions take?
It depends on the authority and on appointment availability for medicals and biometrics. We submit as soon as documents are complete and follow up until the approval is issued, but we can't promise government processing times.
Do you cover free zone companies?
Yes. Free zone companies file through their zone's portal rather than with DET and MOHRE, and we work through that portal on your behalf where the zone allows it.
Is a retainer better than paying per transaction?
A retainer suits companies with several visas, regular hiring or dependants. If you have one investor visa and renew once a year, paying per transaction is usually cheaper. We'll recommend whichever suits your volume.
