The workspace sets your registered address and, in most cases, how many residence visas your company can sponsor. The right option depends on which authority licenses you.
**Ajman free zones.** In Ajman Free Zone, Ajman Media City and ANCFZ, the lease is part of the licence package. You don't rent from a third party. Ajman Free Zone offers a Business Centre (shared co-working desks, bookable meeting rooms, 24-hour access), a Freelancer & Pioneers Hub, furnished offices, executive offices and warehouses from 100 sq m. Ajman Media City packages include co-working space. ANCFZ offers flexi-desk, shared and private offices. A co-working or flexi desk option is enough for most service, consultancy and online businesses when you're setting up through Ajman Free Zone, Ajman Media City or ANCFZ.
**Visa quota.** Each free zone links the number of visas to the package and facility. As published examples, Ajman Free Zone's furnished offices come with two resident visas, its sole professional licence with one, and its warehouses with a minimum of 14; Ajman Media City's standard packages include zero to three visas with co-working space. Extra visas beyond the package need Immigration approval. We confirm the quota for your exact package before you commit, because it is the number that most often forces a later upgrade.
**Ajman mainland.** A licence from Ajman's Department of Economic Development needs premises with a lease attested through Tasdeeq, Ajman's lease registration system (not Ejari, which is Dubai's). Some activities need a dedicated shop, office or warehouse approved by the municipality; some professional activities can run from a business-centre office. **Virtual offices and home working.** Ajman authorities don't license a company to a home address or a mailbox-only "virtual office". The nearest option is a free zone co-working or flexi desk package. Ajman offshore companies are a different case: they have no UAE workspace at all and are registered through an agent.
**What affects cost.** The free zone and package, the facility type, the number of visas you want, the lease term, and any guarantee the free zone or Immigration requires.
